Bus |

Buses from Incheon International Airport to Seoul or Gimpo Airport operate on 10-15 minute intervals during the flight operation hours. As the subway between Incheon International Airport and Seoul is currently being constructed, the most convenient and cheapest way to get to Seoul is Limousine Bus. Deluxe Limousine Bus tickets to Seoul cost 12,000-13,000 won, Standard Limousine Bus tickets cost 7,500-8,000 won. Tickets can be purchased at the Transportation Information Counter near the exits No. 2, 4, 9, 13 on the arrival floor (1st floor) or at the bus stops themselves. It is recommended that passengers confirm the bus stop number and location at the Transportation Information Counter because there are many bus routes to and from the airport. A subway map is usually located above of the ticket window (see right). Most subway maps are written in Korean and English. The numbers next to the name of each station on the map indicates the subway fare for the destination from the present station. Simply tell the worker behind the ticket window your destination, and they will issue you the appropriate ticket. The yellow box next to the ticket window contains free subway maps which you can freely take and keep. Some subway stations do not provide free subway maps. Subway fares are as below. (Foreign currency is not accepted at subway ticket windows, so please prepare Korean Won.) |

(2) How to Buy Subway Tickets |

Using ticket vending machines differs depending on which subway line you are on. On Seoul Subway Line 1 through 4, you must select the Service Area first then insert coins. On Subway Line 5 through 8, you must insert coins first then select the Service Area. The description below is for Lines 1 through 4. When using Lines 5 though 8, simply switch the second and third step. |

Buy a T-money and Be Ready for Sightseeing in Seoul!
While traveling in Seoul, you may have been intrigued by some beeping sounds coming from peoples wallets, bags or even mobile phone rings as they touched a sensor when getting on or off the bus or subway. Taxis are plentiful, clean, safe, and inexpensive in Korea. There are taxi stands in most busy city areas, and taxis can also be hailed on the streets. As well, certain taxis can be requested by phone though the fare for these special call taxis is somewhat higher than regular taxis An increasing number of taxi drivers speak some English. |

The fare system is based on both distance and time. Fares are £Ü1,900 for the first 2 kilometers and £Ü100 for each additional 144 meters. If the taxi is going less than 15 kilometers per hour, an additional charge of £Ü100 per 35 seconds is added to the fare. The fare between Incheon International Airport and downtown Seoul is usually around £Ü50,000(including toll) though it could be higher if traffic is congested . Fares increase 20 percent between midnight and 4 a.m. |

Deluxe taxis called ¡°mobeom¡± taxi in Korean, are black with a yellow sign on the top and the words ¡°Deluxe Taxi¡± written on the sides. They offer more passenger space and a high standard of service. Fares are £Ü4,500 for the first 3 kilometers and £Ü200 for each additional 164 meters or each 39 seconds if the speed drops below 15 kilometers per hour. The usual fare between Incheon Int¡¯l Airport and downtown is about £Ü80,000 won(including toll). Receipts are given. There is no late-night surcharge. Deluxe taxis can be taken at stands located at hotels, stations, bus terminals, and major city streets. They also can be called at ¢Ï 02-558-8000 (English and Japanese). |
